Our Mission
The mission of Teton Valley Housing is to create diverse, permanently affordable housing opportunities in Teton Valley.
Our Vision
The County and Cities adopted the Affordable Housing Strategic Plan with the goal of diverse, permanently affordable housing options within city limits that will support public service agencies, enhance the local economy, add vibrancy to downtowns, and help preserve the rural character of the area.
History, Annual Reports
The seven-member Teton Valley Housing Commission was created in 2016 by the cities and county by resolution in accordance with Idaho Statutes (Title 50, Chapter 19; and Title 31, Chapter 42) after considering data from the 2014 Teton Regional Housing Needs Assessment. Commissioners were appointed (2 each by Teton County, Driggs and Victor, and 1 by Tetonia) to the board in 2019 following the adoption of the Affordable Housing Strategic Plan, which identified a functioning housing authority as an important component for implementing most of the recommended housing strategies.

Partners & Volunteers
As there is no silver bullet to solve our community's housing issues, Teton Valley Housing seeks out and utilizes partners, donors and volunteers to piece the affordable housing puzzle together. Partners include federal and state agencies (e.g., HUD and IHFA), our cities (Driggs, Victor and Tetonia), Teton County Idaho, Teton County Wyoming, developers, philanthropists/donors (e.g., Teton Board Of Realtors' Community Housing Fund), non-profit organizations (e.g., Community Resource Center of Teton Valley and Community Foundation of Teton Valley) and the public. Signal West Housing Task Force
Teton Valley Housing is excited to announce the formation of the Signal West Housing Task Force, offering community members a unique opportunity to participate in the planning phase of Signal West, a new project aimed at creating affordable housing opportunities for Teton Valley’s workforce.
Employee Generation Study Completed
Economic & Planning Systems delivered the completed Employee Generation Study to Teton Valley Housing this June. The study, funded by Teton County, Idaho, calculates the additional workforce housing demand created by new market residential and non-residential development. This will support local efforts to understand better and address the workforce housing shortage.
